Hello everyone, we are back in a more beautiful place than ever. This is one of those places which can truly blow your mind. We will be discovering the top 10 places in the beautiful country of Belize. It’s one of the best countries you’ll ever see. It is one of the most colourful and diverse places, it’s home to the second-largest coral reef system in the world. It’s full of clear waters and ancient rooms, it is just a cool place.

Xunantunich Mayan Ruins

Let’s head over to the impressive ancient ruins of Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. It is about a two-hour drive from the airport. It’s one of the most impressive and easily accessible ruins in Belize. So it cost about $10 to get in and when we got there we hiked over and got on the very top of the pyramid. When you’re on top you have this just massive view of the surrounding area, you’re able to see if your model is just so beautiful. It’s over a few hundred feet high, it is just really cool. At the bottom, they have these massive green grass fields surrounded by these ancient ruins. It highly recommends visiting here, it’s one of the best places in Belize.

St. Herman’s Blue Hole

We are now heading over to the Blue Hole. There are two blue holes, the Great Blue Hole and the ocean which we’ll talk about later but there’s also a Blue Hole in the jungle. So it’s located about 20 minutes from the capital city of Belmopan. Drive to reach there is absolutely beautiful; you’re going to drive through the mountains with this crazy vegetation. You’ll get to the Blue Hole, it’s just a short hike down. It’s this pool in the jungle and the water comes from an underground cave. The water is blue like Gatorade and if you follow the stream, the water will take you down to another cave and this cave is super cool. There’s actually a cave called St. Herman’s cave. You can literally just walk down there you don’t really need a guide. The cave is pretty cool.

Big Rock Falls

One of the best cliff jumping spots and Belize to Big Rock Falls. It’s about an hour’s drive from the town of San Ignacio. Make sure you have a four-wheel-drive car to get there. When you get there, it’s just this massive waterfall in the middle of nowhere. We found some ledges to jump off of this water feels so nice because it’s just so hot and humid in Belize. You can swim over the waterfall do a cliff jump do some backflips and enjoy to the fullest. This is definitely one of the best swimming locations in Belize. You then can head over to the 1,000-foot fall. This is just a 20-minute drive from Big Rock Waterfalls. They claimed to be over 1000 feet high. The best thing about this place is that you’re at a high elevation where there are pine trees and it’s not super hot. The sunset is just so beautiful to look over the beautiful landscape.

San Pedro

Let’s now head over to the San Pedro. To get to San Pedro, you can either fly over there or you take a water taxi. Water Taxi is more recommended because it’s cheaper and it’s also a really cool experience. It costs about $30 round-trip to do a water taxi. And it’s about 90 minutes to get to San Pedro. You can chill inside the boat or you can also get on top of the boat and check out the amazing views. You’re going to pass a bunch of really cool islands and the water is so blue. If you’ll be lucky, you might be also able to see dolphins jumping in the water from a boat it is pretty cool. San Pedro is just a really cool town just as an island surrounded by beautiful blue water, really colorful houses. It’s a really cool place where a lot of people go on vacation.

Secret Beach

One of the other best places is Secret Beach anyways to get to Secret Beach. You’ll have to drive on dirt roads through the mangrove swamp, and you’ll get to the west side. What’s really cool about Secret Beach is that the water is completely clear and flat, it is just perfect. It is a really cool place for really colorful houses and you can get them rented, one of their canoes. It pretty cool because to canoe there, you’ll have a good time with Island. Secret Beach is just a fun place with a really cool vibe there.

Hol Chan Marine Reserve

Let’s now ran towards the Hol Chan Marine Reserve. If you love snorkeling and swimming you have to do this. You’ll need a tour guide to go there. You’ll have to get into the boat and its 30-minute boat ride and then you’ll reach Hol Chan Marine Reserve. You can then, jump off the boat and swim in some of the clearest water. It is so cool, the reef was so colorful, there were so many fishes like stingrays, Turtles, Barracuda.  Then you may move towards Shark Ray Alley and this is famous because there’s a bunch of nurse sharks. Nurse sharks are pretty calm and they do not bite and there’s nothing to be afraid about. It’s highly recommended to go there.

Basketball court

One of the best local places in San Pedro is their basketball court. The cool thing about this basketball court is it’s right on the ocean. The court itself is so colorful and then the surrounding ocean just creates an awesome vibe. There’s also a little bridge right next to the basketball court you can jump from there into the water.

The Great Blue Hole

Let’s now head over to almost iconic places in Belize to the Great Blue Hole. When you think about Belize this is what a lot of people think of. It’s this giant hole that’s in the middle of the ocean. It’s located on the Lighthouse Reef it’s over 1,000 feet wide and over 400 feet deep. To get there, you can take a tour boat from San Pedro. If you’re not into boat rides you can take a plane to get the view of the Blue Hole and that cost about $230. The Great Blue Hole is one of the most unique locations on the earth.

Caye Caulker

We’re now going to head over to Caye Caulker. Caye Caulker is right next to San Pedro, you can get there by taking the water taxi. It’s a small five-mile island with the highest elevation of 8 feet high. In 1961 hurricane Hattie split the island in two. There’s a channel that runs between the North and the South Island. You can swim across the channel; you’ll have a good time and a little scary. You can also see a lionfish in the mangroves. Their style is pretty cool it’s a much more slow-paced Island compared to San Pedro. The sunsets are absolutely stunning with cotton candy skies and blue water it’s definitely a beautiful place you should visit.

Tikal

Last but not least you can finally head over to Tikal Belize. This is the only location that’s not in Belize but It’s recommended going there. It’s in Guatemala, to get there you’ll have to go to Belize and Guatemalan border Bank. You can then found a car driver for yourself on the other side. You can get that ecology Tikal is one of the most impressive ruins in the world. It’s just really cool place, so if you are feeling like an extra adventure simply go to Guatemala and visit Tikal.
